BIG DAY OF GIVING

Image

GIVING

Julian is a four year old boy and the only surviving member of his family. He lost his five year old brother along with his parents and nine year old sister after a drunk driver sped down the wrong side of the interstate and slammed into his family’s car. Julian has fully recovered from his injury, and his uncle, Anthony Gonzalez, has adopted him and given him a new home. Kids Helping Kids is deeply involved with the school Thomas Kelly Elementary that both of his deceased siblings went to. Every week they go to Thomas Kelly and teach the students art, music, tutoring, and gardening through our outreach program. This loss greatly impacted them and their community.

All proceeds made during Big Day Of Giving will be given directly to a 529 college fund that we opened for Julian earlier this year.

Our Gala raised over $80,000 this year! That is enough to help over 100 families with a child battling pediatric cancer. From the bottom of our hearts, the Kids Helping Kids team thanks everyone who attended and helped make this amazing night possible.

Featured Program

The Garden Project

The Garden Project is a program that allows kids to have a better understanding of nature and develop an appreciation for the natural world around them that they might not be able to experience otherwise at their age. The program includes creating garden boxes and growing all different kinds of plants with the kids at Carmichael Elementary School. This hands-on science experience will carry through to their everyday understanding of nature and allow for an active science curriculum to further their education.
